On March 23rd , we held a workshop on effective English presentations for academic conferences, led by an instructor from Springer Nature. The workshop was conducted in person, with approximately 30 master’s and doctoral students participating in a six-hour session held entirely in English.
The workshop covered the following topics:
・Planning your narrative
・Poster Presentations
・Slide presentations
・Professional presentation skills
・Group work
・Presentation activity
For students planning to present at academic conferences in the near future, this workshop provided an excellent opportunity to acquire practical skills and strategies for delivering effective presentations.
The results of the post-workshop survey were highly positive:
・100% of the attendees were satisfied with the instructor.
・100% of the attendees indicated they would like to attend similar workshops in the future
・100% of the attendees either strongly agreed or agreed that they will be able to apply what they have learnt to their work.
・95% of the attendees either strongly agreed or agreed that they feel more confident in their skills after attending this workshop.
