Mandatory Activities

Boot Camp

This event brings together doctoral students from Nagoya University and Gifu University. We encourage students from various fields to engage in active discussions about their research while sharing meals and accommodations, aiming to foster lasting connections among participants, which could potentially lead to interdisciplinary or collaborative research in the future.
Furthermore, to respect students autonomy, senior doctoral students join the planning stage and accompany the groups as mentors, assisting with overall operations and supporting the group discussions.

Interaction between Companies and PhDs

This event provides a valuable opportunity for doctoral talent to interact directly with companies and organizations interested in hiring PhDs. It serves as a platform to gain insights into the diverse operations and research activities of various companies, as well as their expectations and aspirations for doctoral professionals. Additionally, it offers participants a chance to share their skills and aspirations, engage in meaningful discussions, and foster industry-academia collaboration. For English-speaking participants, a separate English event is available, providing an opportunity to deepen their understanding of Japanese companies and the skills required to work with them.
