Recruiters say that PhDs are the most unprepared for the job market. Why? For one, because their resumes look the same as their CVs. Let’s change that!
Join us online for a training session (the first of a two-series webinars) where we will look at the format of CVs, analyze the key differences between an academic CV and a resume/ Rirekishyo and decide when a resume is better than a CV. Is ‘Personal Information’ the same around the world? How do I list my ‘Education’? How should I organize my ‘Experience’? Do I need ‘References’? Let’s learn how to build unique CVs for our favorite jobs inside and outside of academia. Let’s shine on paper! Postdocs are welcomed!

講師は、名古屋大学で博士号を取得された後、カナダのトロント大学で教育方法を学ばれました。講師は、明快な英語でわかりやすい話をされます。

The lecturer received her Ph.D. from Nagoya University. She further learned the teaching method at the University of Toronto in Canada. She is known to be a good speaker of simple English.

You will receive feedback through email and during the Q&A session following the seminar. Your ID will be protected.

A CV is often an employer’s first impression of your professional and academic credentials, in both academic and non-academic job hunting. The lecturer will share plenty of tips from her own experience or from recruiting experts and explain how to write a CV that can open doors for your career.
