2026 MNS Networking Party in English

On September 14, the MNS Networking Party was held in English at LOAM Hall, ComoNe. The event aimed to promote international networking both within and beyond the university and to support doctoral students’ career development before graduation.
PhD candidate Lio Weiming from the Graduate School of Medicine supported the organization of the event and served as MC, contributing greatly to its success. She is also a selected student for MNS (Make New Standards) Program.
We invited two alumni of the Program for Leading Graduate Schools as guest speakers: a board member and CTO of MAP IV, a startup originating from Nagoya University, and an associate professor in the Faculty of Commerce and Management at Hitotsubashi University. They spoke about the skills needed to succeed in industry and academia, as well as the importance of interdisciplinary thinking.
Approximately 20 doctoral and master’s students from more than 10 graduate schools in both the sciences and the humanities and social sciences participated. The participants represented a wide range of nationalities, including Japan, China, India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Brazil, and Italy. All participants actively networked with the alumni, faculty members, and fellow students.
