ケニア出身。英国オックスフォード・ブルックス大学大学院修士号取得(「開発と実践」)。
2019年6月から現職。2016年から2019年にかけてセーブ・ザ・チルドレン・インターナショナルで勤務。ソマリアの女性と女児の社会的・経済的エンパワーメントに向けた持続可能な変革を達成するイニシアチブにおいて、国際NGO の連合を主導し、CAREインターナショナル、国際救助委員会、ソマリア政府、国連、様々な現地NGOとのパートナーシップを構築した。
ジェンダー平等における戦略的リーダーシップ、オペレーションマネジメント、コーディネーションの経験、およびジェンダー公正、政治経済分析、ガバナンス、アカウンタビリティ、子どもの権利、性と生殖に関する健康とその権利の分野の専門性を有する。市民社会の立場から、政府、国連機関、民間部門とのジェンダー平等を促進するためのパートナーシップを主導。アフリカ、中東、アジア、ラテンアメリカ、英国等での勤務経験を持つ。
Edward is a gender equality expert with experience in strategic leadership, operational management and coordination. He is an accomplished trainer and facilitator and competent in technical and thematic areas of Gender Justice, Political Economy Analysis, Governance and Accountability, Child Rights and Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights. He has worked with civil society and led partnerships with government, UN agencies and private sector in promoting gender equality. He has worked in many countries in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Latin America as well as the UK.
He holds a MSc. Development Practice from Oxford Brookes University, UK. His most recent role was leading a consortium of international NGOs, led by Save the Children International, in partnership with CARE International, International Rescue Committee, the Government of Somalia, the UN and a range of local NGOs in an initiative geared to achieve sustainable transformation towards greater social and economic empowerment for women and girls in Somalia.
