The Consortium plans to organize similar programs for 2021.

What are the implications of your research for the public, policy, and society? How can you and other researchers engage and involve the public and policymakers in your research? What are the challenges, benefits, risks, and opportunities for you in reaching out to communicate and discuss your research with broader specialist and non-specialist audiences?
This workshop will provide you with an introduction to public and policy engagement with research in the UK, focusing on the role of academic researchers. You will have a chance to hear from experienced and early career researchers in Edinburgh about their role in public and policy engagement. Most importantly, you will have the opportunity to develop your research communication skills and consider the place that public and policy engagement could have in your career.
The workshop will be informal, interactive and practical.
