Come and join us in a friendly environment to listen to jargon-free five-minute talks by Nagoya University's best young researchers.
This is a great opportunity to meet new people from other graduate schools and to practice explaining complex topics to the general public.
We will use Zoom for this event and inform those who have registered how to participate.

<About the presentation>

Speaker:HUANG Qianchun(Graduate School of Engineering)
●Title: A green approach to the synthesis of peptides for medical use: Development of new catalysis
●Detail:
Catalytic dehydrative condensation of amino acids derivatives is a straightforward and more environmentally friendly method to synthesize peptides, which are valuable medical candidates. However, the development of practical catalyst accessing peptides is limited. Here, by using catalytic amounts of a-hydroxycarboxylic acids as additives, we found that a commercially available simple.

Speaker:XUE Mengsong(Graduate School of Science)
●Title: A new candidate for quantum computing
●Detail:
Chips in electronics enable the systems and products that we use to work, communicate, travel, entertain, treat illness, make new scientific discoveries, and more. However, the need of high-performance computing and electronic devices is going to exceed the limitations of existing material system. Here, I will briefly introduce a new candidate for next-generation quantum computing and show a characterization method developed by us for the study of this field.
