●Title: Decoding the Behavioural and Neural Architecture of Excessive Social Behaviors in a Mouse Model for Autism Spectrum Disorder
●Detail:
While Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is typically characterised by social deficits, atypical "excessive" social behaviours are frequently overlooked. This project investigates the brain networks driving this hypersociality using a specialised genetic mouse model. To eliminate human observational bias, we employ deep learning-based pose estimation to transform complex animal interactions into objective, high-dimensional behavioural maps. Subsequent whole-brain neural activation mapping will then help us identify and functionally manipulate the neural circuits underlying this excessive sociality.

●Title: Understanding the Role of Alkali Metal Salts in Molybdenum Disulfide Thin Film Growth
●Detail:
Molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) is a two-dimensional material considered promising for future electronic devices, but growing high-quality films remains challenging. This study develops a solution-based method to fabricate MoS2 films using alkali metal salts as growth promoters. Although these salts are widely used to enhance MoS2 growth, their role and mechanism remain unclear. This study aims to understand how alkali metals affect the growth of MoS2 films.
