High School Curriculum Reforms in Madagascar: Policy Intentions and Teachers' Responses from the Ground.
<Detail>
In recent years, Curriculum has increasingly become a central focus of frequent educational reforms in many countries. However, the implementation of such reforms within schools rarely mirrors the intended outcomes of curriculum planners. Curriculum reforms often require changes in schools and teachers' practices, but the issue of reforms with little change in the school process (mainly teachers' practices) remains problematic in education. Similarly,  how teachers actually experience educational reform is at the heart of understanding reform failure or success. This presentation will focus on how high school teachers respond to Madagascar's newly revised national curriculum reforms.

The potential of methylotrophic yeast in bioconversion of high methanol into value-added chemicals.
<Detail>
The ever-increasing emission of greenhouse gas (GHG) is accelerating the process of climate change, leading to a boost extreme weather events around the world. Use of yeasts is a good countermeasure. Methanol can be easily generated from GHGs such methane and CO_2 with a decreasing cost for subsequent microbial fermentation to produce value-added compounds. However, the efficiency of bioconversion is low. My research focuses on how to improve its efficiency.
