During this seminar, Ms. Tri Mumpuni, founder of Institut Bisnis dan Ekonomi Kerakyatan (IBEKA), will share past activities and how she worked with different stakeholders like government, local government, private companies as well as citizen. In addition, we would like to discuss the role of social entrepreneurs in international development.

1992年に農村部の経済開発をミッションとするインドネシアのNGO「IBEKA」を設立。地域コミュニティが発電事業を行い、無電化の自分たちの村に電気をもたらし、人々の暮らしをよくする新しいシステムをインドネシアの村々に導入している。
アジアのノーベル賞とも呼ばれるマグサイサイ賞を2011年に受賞。
Ms. Tri Mumpuni founded IBEKA in 1992. She has been involving rural development mainly introducing community-based power generating electricity to Indonesian villages to improve people’s lives. In 2011, she received the Magsaysay Award, known as the Asian Nobel Prize.
