Nagoya University introduced the “Nagoya University Interdisciplinary Frontier Fellowship” in April 2021.
The Nagoya University Interdisciplinary Frontier Fellowship is a program that supports students advancing to doctoral courses at Nagoya University. The fellowship provides financial support for their research and daily living expenses for the three years of the doctoral program. The intent of the program is that recipients will acquire deep academic knowledge and outstanding skills and put the abilities that they have cultivated through that experience to good use in many different parts of society after completion of their course.
It is hoped that the doctoral candidates who benefit from this program will undertake the advancement of scholarly work in Japan and the creation of next-generation science, technology, and innovation, and help to build a vibrant society.

(1) Pre-application registration

Pre-application registration is required for the issuing of an application number. Please fill out the pre-application registration form and register by the due date.
* Each applicant may apply for one field only. The field to which you may apply will vary depending on your graduate school or major. Refer to Appendix 2 of the Application Guidelines.
* Please take note that do not change the application of your field after pre-application registration.

①Nagoya University Applicants: Your application number will be posted on NUCT 1–2 days after pre-application registration (excluding Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays).
②Other Applicants: Your application number will be sent to your registered email address 1–2 days after pre-application registration (excluding Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays).
(2) Submission of Application Documents
